Allergy test before the colour. Free with us.

Hair colourants contain ingredients that can trigger allergic reactions. If you want to know beforehand, you do not have to pay for it here: the test is possible in the salon and costs nothing.

Why we offer this

Better to know beforehand than to find out afterwards.

A reaction to hair colour is rare, but when it comes, the appointment is the wrong moment for it. That is why the test exists, and that is why it costs nothing.

We go through how the test works with you personally. It depends on which service is planned. Call us and we will tell you when to come by for it.

  • Possible in the salon, costs nothing
  • We go through the steps on the phone
  • Black henna in the past: tell us
  • Irritated scalp: then we advise against it

More on this: our terms and conditions, clause 9 and washing before the colour appointment.

What the terms and conditions say

Three sentences that we take seriously.

Hair colourants contain ingredients that can trigger allergies. Temporary tattoos with so-called black henna can increase the risk of an allergy. With facial rashes and with a sensitive, irritated or broken scalp we advise against colouring the hair.

That is in our terms and conditions because it matters. If one of the three points applies to you, get in touch before the appointment.

Frequently asked questions

Before you book, a quick read.

What does the allergy test cost?

Nothing. The test is possible here in the salon and does not cost you a single Rappen.

How does the test work?

We go through it with you personally, because it depends on which service is planned. Call us on +41 43 317 11 31 and we will tell you when to come by for it.

Why can hair colour trigger an allergy?

Hair colourants contain ingredients that can trigger allergic reactions. That applies to colouring in general and is not a pointer to any particular product. We state it expressly in our terms and conditions.

I had black henna. Is that an issue?

Yes, tell us. Temporary tattoos with so-called black henna can increase the risk of an allergy. That is what our terms and conditions say.

My scalp is irritated. Can I still colour?

With facial rashes and with a sensitive, irritated or broken scalp we advise against colouring. Get in touch before the appointment and we will find another way or move it.
