The technique

Tiny rings that sit flat against the head.

Every strand is worked in on its own. A ring of around two to three millimetres gathers it together with a small section of your own hair and is closed flat with pliers. No adhesive, no heat, no knot. Because it stays so small, it does not show even near the parting.

With this guest we worked with two colours, not one. Fitted, coloured, highlighted, then blended in. That is why the result does not look like added hair, but like hair that grew there.

This is what many people miss: light sections do not have to be lightened. They can be put in. For hair that has already seen a lot of colour, that is often the gentler route. And shoulder-length becomes long in the process. How far that goes in your case is something we see on the head, not on the phone.

What guests want to know before the first consultation.

What are nano extensions?

Nano extensions are hair extensions held by tiny rings, barely bigger than the head of a pin. A ring of around two to three millimetres gathers the strand together with a small section of your own hair and is closed flat. Without glue, without heat, without knots.

Can you see nano extensions?

The connection measures around two to three millimetres and is closed flat. It sits close to the head and stays discreet even near the parting. How discreet it is in your case depends on how high it sits, how much is used and the colour. We settle that in the first consultation.

How long do nano extensions last?

Every six to eight weeks we move the strands up again, because your hair grows and the rings travel with it. The hair stays in use several times over, the rings are replaced. How long a set lasts overall depends on hair quality and care. That is why we do not name a fixed number of months.

Does the technique damage my hair?

Nano extensions work without adhesive and without heat. The strand is held by a ring and can be released again. Whether your hair can carry the technique is something we look at in the first consultation, before anything is put in.

Are nano extensions suitable for fine hair?

Yes, that is what the technique is known for. Nano rings are smaller than the older micro rings, so the connection barely adds any bulk. Where hair density is low we work with lighter strand weights. Elizabeta has worked with this technique for years, including on fine hair.

What do nano extensions cost in Zurich?

The first consultation costs CHF 50 and is credited against the fitting. The price for the fitting is individual: hair quality, number of strands, length and working time determine it. After the consultation you receive a quote, before you book the appointment.
