The Aveda Exclusive Salon on Alfred-Escher-Strasse is Eddine Belaid's women's salon, in Zurich Enge since 2008. Aveda is our partner, our product range and the concept the salon works by: colour, care and styling, plant-based and vegan, from a brand that has existed since 1978.

The craft belongs to Eddine Belaid and his team. He headed salon management for Aveda Germany and knows the brand from the inside. “Since the beginning, our concept has been specialisation: each person has their own speciality. We bring together people who love what they do. You should feel safe and well looked after with us, and in the end it comes down to craft.” That is why, with us, you choose the person, not just the appointment.

Our philosophy

Colour that no one recognises as colour.

The best compliment for our work is none at all. It is the moment when someone says “You look good”, and not “Nice colour”. We do not colour so that people see the colour. We colour so that people see the person.

Aveda was founded in 1978 by Horst Rechelbacher, a hairdresser whose mother's herbs had helped him. His principle still holds with us today: beauty should come from nature, but not at its expense. That is why we work with Aveda, and that is why the hair stays healthy.

Anyone who thinks that way does not ask which shade is in fashion right now. They ask which one belongs to this person. Our measure is the face, not the colour chart. Refined looks that look real.

Because no head of hair is like another

Before a pair of scissors opens, we want to understand who is sitting in front of us and what the next morning looks like. Only then does the shape emerge. This sentence is older than the salon.

A shape that falls into place on its own

A cut is good when you can shake your hair and it falls back. If the shape needs product and patience every day to hold, the problem was not the hair but the cut.

What you see here was created at our chairs

No stock photo, no name that is not ours. That is less glamorous than a list of celebrities. In return, you know who is about to put their hands in your hair.

Skill belongs to the house, not to a single pair of hands

We learn a technique from the person who developed it and then carry it into the team. Otherwise the salon does not have the technique, only one person does, and it goes on holiday with them.

Is this an Aveda salon or Eddine Belaid's salon?

Eddine Belaid is the owner and runs the salon in Zurich Enge. Aveda is the partner and the product range. The team, the advice and the standards belong to Eddine Belaid.

Can I buy Aveda products without an appointment?

Yes. Come by during opening hours; the range is in the salon at Alfred-Escher-Strasse 23. You can also order in the Aveda Shop on eddine.ch and have the products delivered or collect them in the salon.

Is there advice on the Aveda products?

Yes, it is included. Our stylists work with the products every day and look at your hair and scalp before they recommend anything. At your next appointment, or in the salon just for that.

What care rituals does the salon offer?

Hair care and hair spa by hair and scalp type, glossing for shine and colour freshness, plus the scalp massage with wash, cut and blow-dry. For months of smooth, soft hair: hair smoothing. Friseur, Coiffeur or Coiffure: what is it called here?

All three mean the same craft. In German-speaking Switzerland people say Coiffeur, in French-speaking Switzerland Coiffure, in Germany Friseur. Our house at Alfred-Escher-Strasse 23 in Zurich Enge works for women and men; you book appointments online or on +41 43 317 11 31.
