Everyone has a talent. It just has to be encouraged.

"At Eddine and Friends in Berlin I brought together make-up artists and hairdressing specialists from all over the city. That is where I understood early on: everyone has a talent, and with the right encouragement something great comes of it. Some are specialists, some are all-rounders who live out many things at once. We support and encourage both."

Before a pair of scissors opens, he wants to understand who is sitting in front of him and what everyday life looks like. Only then does the shape emerge. Today he stands behind the chair in the women's salon himself and sees what others overlook: the line that is still there in the morning, the finish that opens up a face. He sets the professional standard in the house, trains people and checks what the team is allowed to do on a guest.

Apprentice years under Udo Walz

The career begins with Udo Walz in Berlin. There Eddine Belaid learns the craft from the ground up and shows his talent early on at the fashion shows of Chanel, Dior and MCM.

Runway

Shows and shoots across Europe

As a session stylist, which is what the work behind the runway is called, he explores the world with his team "Eddine and Friends": make-up artists and hairdressing specialists from all over Berlin, fashion shows, shoots and events across Europe, the fashion weeks in Paris, London and New York.

Germany

Salon management for Aveda Germany

In Berlin he takes on salon management for Aveda Germany. Aveda is still his partner today: the product range and the salon concept at Alfred-Escher-Strasse.

His own salon since 2008

In 2008 Eddine Belaid opens his salon in Zurich Enge, from the outset with one idea: specialisation. He brings specialists from all over Europe into the team. Several brands have grown out of it.

He learned cutting, colour and shaving, and none of it by halves.

Eddine Belaid has trained in all three disciplines. Where he does not stand behind the chair himself, he has checked and approved whoever does.
